The World Cup started today, and with that, a lot of data gathering about players, teams, and billions of data sets from on and off the court to enrich AI models and monetize them. We share how this is changing the game. LLMs are teaming up with Visa, Metamask, and other payment processors to allow agents to manage money. How can this accelerate agentic adoption or create a financial mess? We also share a very simple AI-Powered Lead Generator agent. Let’s dive in and Stay Curious.
📰 AI News and Trends
AI Agents Will Soon Shop and Pay for YouOpenAI and Visa are partnering to bring AI-powered commerce closer to reality by enabling AI agents to make purchases and payments on users' behalf within predefined limits. The integration combines OpenAI’s agent technology with Visa’s global payments infrastructure, enabling users to set spending caps, merchant restrictions, and approval requirements while Visa handles fraud protection, chargebacks, and refunds. Beyond online shopping, the system could eventually allow AI agents to autonomously pay business invoices, purchase software services, APIs, cloud computing resources, and other digital products. Visa says AI is already influencing more than 20% of consumer transactions, highlighting the growing role of large language models in purchasing decisions. While the partnership lays the groundwork for agentic commerce, both companies acknowledge that the final user experience is still evolving, and ChatGPT is unlikely to become a full-scale shopping platform anytime soon. 🧰 AI Tools of The DayKeep Track of your AI Tokens
AI Revolution in Pro SoccerThe World Cup opened today, and researchers and AI labs are ready to capture as much data as possible to monetize their models and to, allegedly, make the game better. Researchers at Belgium’s KU Leuven are helping drive a data revolution in soccer by using AI and machine learning to uncover winning strategies that were previously invisible to coaches and analysts. Led by Jesse Davis, the team has analyzed more than 1.4 million passes and 60,000 throw-ins, revealing surprising insights such as how intentionally kicking the ball out of bounds in the opponent’s half can increase scoring opportunities. Their open-source tools, including expected goals (xG) and player valuation models, are now used by professional clubs across Europe and national soccer organizations. The lab’s research has also shown that teams like Chelsea could have gained an estimated 1.6 additional goals per season by increasing long-range shots by 20%. As AI-powered analytics become increasingly embedded in the sport, these tools are transforming everything from player scouting and tactical planning to automated game analysis, making soccer one of the fastest-evolving data-driven sports in the world. 📚 Learning CornerAI-Powered Lead Generator in Make.comThis week, I’m sharing an AI lead generation workflow I built in Make.com that automatically finds prospects, enriches their contact information, generates company intelligence reports, and stores everything in a Google Sheet.
